Human Hair

What is human hair? Just like thew name suggests, it's hair cut from a human source.
Commonly sold at about 4oz (approx 113 grams) per item.
Most hair in supply for extensions comes from Asia.
This hair is best for hair extensions,
in that it is most natural looking, naturally!

Name                                                               Info
REMY
(REMI, Cuticle hair)
Remy hair has the cuticles of hair aligned so they all face the same way, this hair rarely tangles.
When buying extension hair make sure you know it's 100% remy.
I don't care HOW expensive it -  if you don't buy Remy, don't say I didn't warn you!! Also, many foreign sellers will advertise REMY hair, not knowing exactly what this means, it's a good idea to contact the seller for verification!
FALLEN HAIR (non-remy, not specified "Remy") The cuticles of this hair will rub against each other causing major tangling. This is the lowest quality of human hair, and yet the most common, you don't want to install this on your head.
VIRGIN HAIR Virgin hair has not had any types of chemical services done to the hair (such as coloring or perming)
It is possible (and bad luck) to have Fallen Virgin hair!!
SINGLE DRAWN The hair will not be all the same length, some people think this gives it more of a natural look, also tends to be less expensive than double drawn.
DOUBLE DRAWN All hair will be the same length, tends to be more expensive than single drawn hair.

Synthetic Hair
Synthetic Hair for extensions can be made with several different types of fibers.
There are better fibers for hair extensions than others.
We have outlined these for you to make the best decisions for your hair extensions.
Synthetic hair, as usually with human hair, is sold at 4oz (approx 113 grams) per item.

MONOFIBRE
or Thermo Fiber (heat resistant)
The highest quality types of synthetic hair, tangles more than 100% Remy human hair but a lot less than fallen hair.
Best synthetic hair for hair extensions.
And in our option, ONLY hair for synthetic hair extensions.
For "loose" its about 48" long per pack, cost is around $30.00 per 4oz.
For the wefted, expect to pay $15.00-$30.00 per 4oz and about a 50" to 60" weft.
Monofiber can last 3+ months, whereas thermo fiber last about 1-2 months with proper care.
Silky Straight KANEKALON (KK) DO NOT USE FOR LOOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS!
This hair is (usually) super shiny, looks like doll hair, and generally tangles a lot (as with HH fallen), it is generally not recommended for a full head of loose hair extensions, but works great for a few highlights.
However, it melts very easily. (Like with a blow dryer)
Generally around $4.00 per 4oz.
Braid KANEKALON
(KK hair)
DO NOT USE FOR LOOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS!
This hair has a crimpy texture to it, also melts easily, this type of KK is great for braids!
About $3.00 per 3-4oz.
TOYOKALON (toyo hair) DO NOT USE FOR LOOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS!
Another lesser quality fiber, great for braiding.
POLYPROPHELENE (PP hair, 100% synthetic hair)
DO NOT USE FOR LOOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS!
This hair is great for braids.
Also very inexpensive!
About $1.00 - $2.00 for 4oz.
